I just got back from pass yesterday and i did something really stupid. I put my shorts in the washer and forgot to take out my ipod that i was listening to on the rough plane ride home. Well i was sad about that today, it was all wet. I could see splodges of water on it. It even went through the dryer as well. Below are pics of it at 8:30pm. I has put it in the dryer around 9am.
I decided to turned it on fully expecting it not to work and to my amazement it works!! all my songs are still there, even the headphones still work!. I am just hoping the water on the screen dries in the next couple days and the ipod will be as good as new.
This ipod truly has gone where no other ipod has...into the watery depths of the cavernous washing machine. dun dun dun...drum roll please =).
I have only been home for a week and now its time to pack up and head out already. Chicago awaits me, and one long month of hardcore studying is calling my name. I will leave you with a picture of the San mateo bridge, which is about 7 miles long. I took this down the road from my house. I am loving this 10x zoom =) (Click the image to make it bigger)
The new slogan on northern California highways amber alert signal. It took me a minute to figure out what they intended.
I will be leaving for the pass program in Chicago tomorrow. I will give a brief review and will have updates as the program progresses. I know there are not many places reviewing pass, i am taking it upon myself to be one of the first. I like to take on noble tasks =)
Meanwhile enjoy this pic of a California motorist i snapped while on I880. They were very creative in blocking out the sunlight.
I ate the only chicken dish on the menu. It was something like chicken niceice, needless to say i mispronounced it when the waiter came over. It was quite good actually, a little on the expensive side at $20 a plate. But i had a $10 voucher and i didn't feel like eating a turkey sandwich that evening.
I am stuck in Miami because my plane waited outside the docking gate for 1.5hrs. As a result of that delay and lightning caused my bags to come out late. I missed my AA flight to SFO. AA gave me 2 night stay at the Radisson now with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Also transport to and from the airport. I guess its little consolation to being home but oh well.
I got to my room which is on the 10th floor in downtown Miami. The view is really quite amazing. I will be posting more pics as i get time. But theres is my room and night time and in the day. There is a lot of water surrounding the Miami area. More than i knew about. I will be here for two nights and apparently this is a $530/night room. I bet AA has a deal with Radisson somehow heh. I am heading off to eat my free lunch soon. Lets see how it turns out.
It seems to me that pass works best for people who can pick up stuff up right away in class, rather than sitting and memorizing mass amount of info. I will keep a update of the program when i get down to Chicago. And i checked the weather its in the high 80s and low 90s there now!! When will i get away from all this hot weather! oh how i long for the the upper 60 low 70s of home. Nice cool breeze all the time, its awesome the bay area is the place to live =).
On a different note i have been taking a lot of pictures around school and using my zoom function alot. Take a look at some of the pics below. Its really amazing how far i am standing and the zoomed shots still come clear. I am really happy with this camera. Btw, i didn't mention that when i bought it i checked bhoolchands and Klass electronics. Bhoolchands wouldn't budge on the price so i went to class and they wouldn't budge either. But after a little persuasion i got the price i wanted with a 2gb SD card. In fact you really do need 2GB+ card for these high mp camera because they do take a lot memory. Each picture is about 3-4MB and that adds up really fast =)
A nice shot of the right side of the droms @ AUC
A 10X zoomed shot from the same spot as the first pic.
Same spot as the first pic 10x zoom.
These pictures are straight out of the camera, no editing, no photoshop =).
ok thats all for now, take care.
The prisioner of the jeep parked at campus villiage. I was walking by campus village and i noticed a bunch of cats all over this white jeep. It kinda looks abandoned. I guess the owner just left it here to rot. Well it seems that the cats have taken it over and made it their prime time hangout. As i got closer to the jeep most of the cats ran, but there was one, one cat that stood up, stood up to challenge me and my new Panasonic lumnix TZ3 camera!
So i started snapping and the cat started to pose for the camera! lol. So i am gonna make this cat famous now. Behold the cat that is not camera shy. Looking straight into the camera, fearless and confident. I guess the cats have no fear since Schezshwan closed. (The rumor was that they may have been using cat meat in their dishes, there may have been some merit to that rumor since there has been an increase in the cat population in the area.)
These pics were taken with my new Camera. My panasonic Lumnix TZ3. 7.2MP 10X optical zoom. Oh yeah!
My Camera!
I am planning on doing about 2 hrs of audio a day with some review questions at the end of the day to supplement my learning with some real time feedback from the questions. Thats all for now, check out the pics.
It seems as soon as you get a little famous doing anything will make you money. But for the rest of us non-famous folk we have to study or work to earn our bread.
Maybe Paris should thinking about starting a clothing line and call it her summer "Zebra collection". haha...i am too funny, ok as for school i am still on biochem and going to be finished to day with all the pathways, then its onto Physiology which should be interesting. Alrighty then over and out from SXM.
Oops i almost forgot to add a video hehe. If you watch hindi moves, or if you don't watch this trailor for dhoom 2. You will love this move!!

That acronym SCAB would have saved me a a couple hours in path and got me some easy points on Dr.L's tests. But oh well good thing i know it now. The weather as cleared up a bit here, the sun is out and the dull clouds have drifted away! I wish fall would come sooner so i can watch new episodes of office again. I really like that show, its in fact got better and better has the seasons went on. I will leave you with a clip of the office, so if you haven't started watching office, i say you head on over to your tv links site and start!
